She has won two Pushcart Prizes, two Best American Food Writing Awards, and a Best American Travel Writing and Best American Spiritual Writing Award. Hood has edited the bestselling anthologies Knitting Yarns and Knitting Pearls: Writers Writing About Knitting and the anthology Providence Noir, which is part of Akashic Press’s popular Noir series.
