2016 Registration

Special note: We have a limited number of $500 scholarships available to help offset the cost of attending the retreat. Please contact retreat admins Karen Dionne or Christopher Graham for details.

Total Tuition Fee:

$2,950 (due in full upon registration)

Tuition Fees Include:

  • 4 days of workshops and individual instruction on Salt Cay including a one-on-one meeting to discuss your first 20 pages with a faculty member of your choice
  • Transportation every day between Paradise Island and Salt Cay
  • Lunch every day on Salt Cay (breakfast is included with your room at the Comfort Suites)
  • Poolside cocktail reception
  • Island feast with entertainment
  • Dolphin swim
  • Island tour
  • Faculty Author Reading at Old Fort Bay Club (includes ticket, transportation, drinks, and hors d’oeuvres)
  • Arawak Cay dinner excursion (transportation only)

Tuition fees do not include cost of your hotel room or transportation to and from Nassau. Registrants can book their stay at the retreat hotel at deeply discounted rates. An American-style breakfast buffet is included with your room at the Comfort Suites hotel. Aside from the Monday evening poolside reception and the Saturday evening island feast, evening meals are the responsibility of individual students.

Please note: When you register, you will be asked to list your top three choices for workshop leader and your one-on-one meeting. Workshops are headed by author faculty members, who remain with their group throughout the week, while the agents rotate through all the groups, with a different agent visiting each group every day.

Current group status is as follows:

  • Lee Child – 2openings left
  • Ann Hood – 6 openings left
  • Tea Obreht – 6 openings left
  • Lorenzo Carcaterra – 6 openings left

Every effort will be made to match students with their top choice for workshop leader and for their one-on-one meeting. That said, the small group size and relaxed nature of the retreat allows plenty of opportunities to discuss your project individually with all of our faculty members.
